Background of Don Schmitt
Don Schmitt is the Executive Director of Affiliated Consultants of N.A. and President and 100% owner of Forest Properties, Inc. and also it's Designated Broker.
Many of the new subdivisions since the early 1990's have retained Don as their consultant. It permitted these real estate owners to take advantage of his many years of diversified business and marketing knowledge. His many years of contacts with government and prominent business people in Arizona has been most helpful.
Here's Why-
As a 3rd generation Arizonian, he has many years of knowledge and expertise in eastern, central and northern Arizona in real estate as a buyer, seller, lender, developer and as a real estate broker (city, rural and remote). He has been a real asset to many individuals or investment groups. His past activities were featured in "World Whose Who of Commerce, Industry and Insurance" and he was an ACE advisor to the SPA of the U.S. as well as an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
At age 22, he co-founded a small Arizona financial entity (with only $5,000) and over the years it had expanded to more than 25 states. He has earned the highest ratings possible in all areas of its activities. He helped complete the financing of the sewer plant in Show Low so local residents could enjoy low cost FHA home financing. That was one of the requirements at the time in order to build the paper mill west of Show Low, Snowflake and Taylor. His firm provided various funds for other small economic developments in Eastern Arizona.
In the mid 1980's, one of his staff and several local Snowflake/Taylor business leaders built the Silvercreek Shopping Plaza and he became on of it's original investors.
His efforts were responsible for bringing 10 Million dollars of economic development to Snowflake/Taylor for the new 100 units of affordable housing (60 unit golf course apartment complex in Snowflake and the 40 unit apartment complex in Taylor).
