The region known as the White Mountains encompasses portions of Navajo and Apache Counties, and includes the cities and towns of Snowflake, Taylor, Heber, Overgaard, Show Low, Pinetop, Lakeside, Holbrook, St. Johns, Concho, Eagar, Springerville, Alpine, and Greer.

Snowflake/Taylor - Picturesque communities with mid-western flavor and historic charm.  Nestled in the rolling hills just north of the White Mountains, Snowflake/Taylor has a moderate climate, both summer and winter.  Many varied residential area, from golf course to suburban to ranchettes.  With their beautiful scenery, abundant water supply and proximity to all the recreational activities in the White Mountains,  Snowflake/Taylor is truly "Arizona's Best Kept Secret".

Heber/Overgaard - Quaint communities in the heart of the White Mountains just 2 1/2 hours from Phoenix.  They are located on the Mogollon Rim and surrounded by the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest.  Many varied residential areas including Mogollon Airpark.  The tall pine trees and proximity to Phoenix make this a favorite summer place for valley area residents.

Approximately 6500' elevation/ mountains and hills/ many trees from juniper and cedar to tall pines/ cool summers and cold snowy winters/ moderate to high price range/ little shopping, some restaurants/ various medical doctors and 911 emergency services.

Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside - Originally three separate communities, sitting astride the legendary Mogollon Rim, Pinetop and Lakeside have merged into one and blended into Show Low which got it's name by the turn of a card.  Show Low is considered to be the commercial hub of the White Mountains, while Pinetop/Lakeside are considered resort communities with three championship golf courses, a number of small lakes nearby, as well as miles of trails for summer hiking or winter cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.  You can spend the night at a modern hotel, rustic lodge or a quaint bed and breakfast.  These are popular with weekenders and full-time residents.
